Mir regularly performs tabla solo recitals in addition to accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers from South Asian traditions including Hindustani and Bengali classical and semi-classical forms. He also performs regularly with musicians from a wide variety of other genres, bringing tabla to jazz, Chamber Music, Middle-Eastern music, hip hop and other contexts.

He is continuing his talim simultaneously with the great Farukhabad Mastero Pt. Anindo Chatterjee and Pt. Ashoke Paul. His style has also been enriched by training with Pt. Gopal Mishra and Pt. Suresh Talwalkar in the past as well.
