Dave Adewumi is a New York-based trumpet player, composer, and educator. His passion for teaching began in High School by the inspiration of his band director, who used music as a way to enrich the lives of many struggling teenagers. Dave firmly believes that learning music can lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying education and that it is imperative for the development of all students.

As a recent graduate of the Juilliard Jazz Masters Program, he has made appearances around the world, including the Bern Jazz Festival, International Jazz Day with James Morrison, Festival of New Trumpet Music with Dave Douglas, and The Kennedy Center with Jason Moran. David continues to develop artistry on the New York jazz scene and serves as a board member of the Festival of New Trumpet Music.
